Cookie Policy

The storage used by Metatime and the choices that control optional preferences.

1. Cookies and this publication

A cookie is a small value stored by a browser for a website. It can allow the website to recognize a setting on a later request. NESET BAYRAM DİJİTAL İÇERİK ANONİM ŞİRKETİ operates this publication with one essential preference receipt and one optional appearance cookie. There are no application analytics cookies, advertising identifiers, embedded audience pixels or reader profiling.

The distinction between essential and optional storage depends on purpose. Remembering a cookie refusal allows the publication to respect that choice. Remembering a light or dark appearance is optional here and takes place only after permission. The site initially uses its light appearance.

The Privacy Policy's legal-basis section explains the relevant conditions under Türkiye's Law No. 6698 and, where applicable, the GDPR. Permission to remember an appearance is separate from the legal basis for the essential preference receipt or network processing.

2. Application cookie inventory

Cookies set by the publication application
NamePurpose and categoryDuration
publication_consentEssential: remembers acceptance or refusal, a random receipt identifier, the publisher and policy context, selection time and expiry6 calendar months from the selection, unless replaced or removed earlier
publication_themeOptional preferences: remembers the selected light or dark appearanceThe remaining duration of the current authorized preference receipt

These cookies belong to the current website host and are transmitted over encrypted connections. They are not available to page scripts for reading and use the SameSite Lax browser rule. The consent receipt is signed so that the application can validate the recorded choice, publisher and policy context, and expiry on each request that presents it. No cookie contains an email address or a list of articles read.

3. Making a choice

The preference panel offers an affirmative option for optional appearance storage and an equally accessible option to refuse it. Necessary storage is explained separately. Continuing to read, scrolling, closing the preference panel or closing a page is not treated as optional consent. Closing the panel leaves any existing recorded choice unchanged. An unrecorded choice leaves optional persistence disabled.

Refusal does not reduce access to articles or other publication pages. Theme switching can still change the current page's appearance while optional persistence remains off. That temporary change is not a stored preference and does not create permission to remember it on a later visit.

When a selection is successfully recorded, the browser receives the essential receipt. A theme value is stored only where the active receipt authorizes preferences. A new selection replaces the browser's previous receipt and uses the current preference-policy version, 1.0.

4. Changing or withdrawing a choice

displays the controls available throughout the publication. Selecting Reject optional withdraws optional permission and removes the stored appearance value when the change is recorded. The essential receipt can remain to remember the refusal for the configured choice period. A saving or failure message describes the result; if a change cannot be confirmed, retry before relying on it for a later visit.

A changed decision operates from that point onward. It does not make earlier consent-based processing unlawful. A material change in the purpose or information presented can require a renewed choice. Expiry also returns the application to optional storage being disabled until a fresh selection.

Browser controls can remove or block cookies independently of these controls. If the browser removes the receipt, the application cannot recognize that earlier selection. Blocking storage may prevent a choice from persisting; the public text remains readable. Browser controls and the publication's own panel apply at different levels.

5. The current preference receipt

The signed browser receipt is the application's record of the current selection. Its random identifier, preference-policy version, publisher and policy context, decision, recorded date and time, and expiry allow the application to check the active choice. It contains no connection address, browser fingerprint, user-agent string or reading history. Date and time handling uses Europe/Istanbul.

The application keeps no separate server archive of acceptance or refusal. A new selection replaces the browser's receipt; clearing it removes the choice information available to the application on later requests. The application cannot reconstruct earlier selections from a historical consent archive. Invalid, expired or absent receipts do not authorize optional appearance storage.

The browser duration is the publication's choice period, rather than a universal statutory period. Separate server and network logs can contain connection information, as the Privacy Policy explains. Those infrastructure records are managed separately and are not controlled by clearing the preference receipt. The Privacy Policy explains the legal bases and individual rights.

6. Network providers and advertisements

The network provider is Cloudflare, Inc.. The inspected ordinary page responses did not add a provider cookie. Network functions can involve other storage depending on the request and enabled function; the application cookie inventory above does not describe every provider mechanism.

The network provider's observed Network Error Logging instruction requests failed-connection diagnostics from compatible browsers for 7 days. This duration describes the reporting instruction's lifetime, not report retention. Report handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

The theme controls do not govern this network-level reporting. Its purpose and any applicable consent exception are assessed separately under electronic communications law; the absence of a conventional cookie or a retained address does not itself establish an exception. Provider processing and international arrangements are explained in the Privacy Policy.

The provider's Network Error Logging documentation describes temporary processing of the client address during a reporting request and dropping it when that request ends. This provider statement does not establish a retention period for all network records or the publisher's hosting and email logs, and does not establish the legal basis for storing a reporting instruction on a device.

Direct sponsor content is presented as a labeled static advertisement without application tracking. Its presence does not introduce an additional consent category. Changes that introduce optional storage would require a revised inventory and applicable permission before that storage operates.
